Begin Again.

Hello!

It's been 2 years since i've posted on this blog.

I don't know exactly why i stopped but so much has happened since then. I got a puppy, I left my home in sunny-perfect-weather-year-round Southern California, I traveled, I met new people, I made new friends, I laughed oh so much and I've loved every single experience I've had. Welcome to my new life and follow me as I Begin Again.

I got a puppy!

Yes, I did, November 2, 2015. This is not a typical story, As i was bringing my laundry in from the garage Marty McFly walked into my home and stole my heart. I had always said that if I ever got a dog I would get a maltese and here he was, about two months old, sitting just outside my front door and wagging his cute little tail. I tried finding his owners but no one claimed him so I adopted him and named him after my favorite character in my favorite trilogy!

DAY ONE

After two days I realized that he wasn't coming to me when I called for him because he was DEAF! That made me love him even more but made training him much harder. He has helped me be much more patient that is for sure! Marty is great at long distance travel and will behave very well especially around new people, he just loves everyone.

HI! I am a happy puppy and I love going out for walks around Nashville with my mammy!

I Left My Perfect-Weather-Year-Round Home in Southern California

I am one of those people who have a desire to constantly explore and see what else is out there. I have also lived in Southern Utah and I loved it so much that I want to retire there... EVENTUALLY. I was tired of living in California (I know what the heck?) and I spontaneously decided that I was going to move.

At first I wanted to move to North Carolina because something always attracted me there and I didn't know what. I decided to take a cross-country road trip May 2015 and check out Charlotte, NC. I contacted some Practice Managers in that city and decided to meet with one while on my trip so I could transfer to that Veterinary Hospital. Turns out, North Carolina was not for me so I dropped the subject until February 2016 when I (again spontaneously) decided that I was going to move but this time I was not going to visit I was just going to do it. Tennessee had always been on my list of places to visit and I had been only once (for about 12 hours) when I drove to North Carolina but it was good enough. I contacted the Practice Manager here and she let me transfer to her hospital in May of that year! I packed my car with everything I owned and took the long cross country road trip but this time with Marty.

I Traveled

One of my goals while living here was to cross off as many states from my list as possible. I have, and I am proud of myself. If you have ever heard the word Wanderlust, it is a real feeling. I constantly have the urge to see and experience new things. So, I have now visited 35 states!

I have met new people and made new friends.

I am so thankful for the Gospel and the Holy Ghost who has given me the opportunity to meet people of the same faith and love for adventure as I have. Nashville has welcomed me with open arms and I am so happy that I made the decision to leave everything behind and Begin Again because it would all be okay since Heavenly Father had a plan for me. Let's see what 2018 has in store for me!
